I love Crabtree & Evelyn products: I buy them a lot as gifts for family and friends but I don’t actually own anything by them myself. Cue April’s Roccabox, and my very own tube of ‘LA Source Hand Therapy’. I am a happy bunny. My Roccabox card says:
“Drench your mitts in this ultra luxurious thirst quenching butter, which is chock full of moisture-boosting ingredients normally reserved for our face creams: think hyaluronic acid and antioxidant-rich green seaweed extract. This treatment raises the hand cream game and takes this product from supporting role to starring act in your collection of bedside products.”
My Roccabox card describes this as a full size 25g tube of hand cream, and the best price I could find for it was £6 from marksandspencer.com. There are various other sizes of this hand cream for sale, and if you like it then it works out cheaper to buy a larger size. A 100g tube is £18 from Johnlewis.com, and if you really like it there is a 250g for £23 from beautyexpert.com.
The cream comes in a beautiful blue tube, which if stood on its lid reads upside down. The front of the tube have the brand name on black text, and the name and description of the product. There is also a little white/pale blue seashell which gives the packaging some nice detail. The back has the company contact details, and place of manufacture (USA).

I unscrew the octagon shaped cap, and squeeze out some of the hand cream. The cream is white in colour, and is very lightly scented. It’s doesn’t smell floral, it’s more of a fresh smelling fragrance and it reminds me of water. I really like the smell. I let out a little more cream, and start to rub it between my hands. The cream is really rich and luscious, and I have very quickly coated my hands in the cream. It takes a little while to sink in, although that may be because I applied a little too much. A little goes a long way so start small, you can always apply more if you need to.
My hands feel soft and moisturised after application, and the light fragrance lingers afterwards. I can see why Roccabox have recommended it as a night time product – it is a little too rich I think as a desk handcream. I love it, and I’m definitely going to add it to my evening routine for softer hands in the morning.
